We begin our journey from the Quechua community of ILLAPA PAMPA now call Lampas Pampas, Ancash, Peru. The community lies at 4080 m above sea level and rests inside the Reserva Nacional Huascaran. It is a traditional community where the people maintain their way of life. High Plains are the last places where communities habitat, at the foot of the Apus, Spirits of the Mountains. We will walk the Llama Nani with our llama caravan to the sacred site of Hatun Machay. Hatun Machay is a Prehistoric an energetic forest of stone formations where the ancestors made rock and cave paintings. This is the mystical stage is where our journey takes place. Antaurko Patsakamaq guides this spiritual journey, a walk into the internal path of exploration and healing. In this journey you will learn about the knowledge of ancestral practices of the Inkas while living and experiencing the way of life of the Andean tradition. The essence of this journey is to nourish the Inti Muju, our solar seed. It is a journey of self-reflection and personal healing at a physical, emotional, mental, energetic, and spiritual level.
- Hatun Machay Itinerary -
Day 1 - Tsuyantsakuy Flower Baths at Walkan
Today we’ll receive an introduction to the Inka spiritual path. We’ll immerse in the teaching of YAKUMAMANTA TSUYANTSAKUYNI or traditional cleansing and purification with the sacred element water spirit. We will take a day trip to Walkan, a small community in the Valley of Huaylas. Receive an energetic cleanse while recharging in geothermal medicine waters - a traditional purification bath with colourful flowers and aromatic plants.
Day 2 - Depart Huaraz
Travel 2 hours from Huaraz to the Pampas Lampas community, Ancash Peru. This day we will light our sacred fire and Inka Antaurko will teach the significance of the ancient Llama Nani pilgrimage trail and about Hatun Machay, the prehistoric energetic place where we will go. Here we will make a CHAQCHAPAKUY or the way to chew the sacred coca leaf in a circle and Ceremonial Offering to the Apus, Spirit of the Mountains and the PACHAMAMA. Then you will meet and get to know the Llamas, the sacred animals that will accompany you on your journey.
Day 3 - Depart Pampas Lampas
You’ll pack your supplies and the llamas for a morning exit of the caravan. Today, you’ll arrive to the Ancient Rock Forest of Hatun Machay. Set up camp and have INTI NAPAYKUY EWAYA or sunset ceremony.
Day 4 - Hatun Machay Explore the ancient stone forest of Hatun Machay and the ancient ochre paintings on its rock walls and caves. We will receive the teaching of KAWSAY PACHA or the Cosmic World of Energy and about Sami, the Fine Energy and receive the rite of Samintsakuy, a energetic charging with the Sami energy from the PACHA or cosmos.
Day 5 - Hatun Machay On this day we immerse ourselves in the teaching and practice of the AYNI code or the natural cosmic law of cause and effect. We will learn about the principle relation of reciprocity between all manifestation of life and existence in the PACHA, and how to practice and live in reciprocity to align ourselves with the natural law to find balance with everything that surrounds us. We will learn an ancient practice to apply in our daily life.
Day 6 - Hatun Machay On this day we prepare to return to the Pampas Lampas community in llama caravan, enjoying the majestic landscape. Arriving we will have a good rest.
Day 7 - Hatun Machay On this day we get together to do the HAYWARIKUY ceremony where we will make a sharing circle and give our offering of acknowledgment and gratitude to the APUS and the PACHAMAMA, for this experience.
